Web Design Overview
Getting your organization online is not an easy task. At Laird Computer Services, we try to make it as easy as possible for you. If you are planning to have a web presence on the Internet for the first time, then we can help. It is safe to say that it is not possible to create "one-size-fits-all" solution because all websites vary greatly depending on the organization. We can seamlessly develop a web design solution for you that is fast, effective, and affordable.
We have included an outline of what is involved in having an active website below.
Web Site Construction
The construction of a website comes in many stages and varies according to the information provided. We will work to gather background information on your business, your target market, and your goals. Based on this information, then we will suggest some creative possibilities for the direction of the site. These decisions will be reflected in the design of your web site. We will produce mock-ups of possible templates and work to create a company logo if you do not already have one. No matter what your requirements are, we can help you.
One of the most important parts of a website is your domain. This is your “name” on the web. We will work with you to choose a name that is available and register it to your name. We can also assist with transferring a domain that you already own. See our domain name page for more.
Once you have a website design created and own a domain name, you need a host. This is a place that your domain name points to. All of the files for your website are stored on your host. Depending on what needs you have, we can work to create custom hosting plans for you. More information is available on our hosting page.
Updates to your website are any changes made to the content. These can include modifications to the text, pictures, or other information. Keeping your website up-to-date is essential for keeping your clients informed, interested, and ensuring that they visit your site again. For more information, please see out updates/maintenance page.
